Today i made my husband a homemade chocolate pie. He’s been wanting one for a good bit.
Ingredients
1/2 c cocoa
1 1/4 c sugar
1/3 c cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
Mix these dry ingredients in a med sauce pan and add 3 C milk.
Stiring over medium heat, bring to a boil (stir continuously) for 1 min.
Remove and add 3Tbs butter and 1 1/2 tsp vanilla. ( i have omitted butter, when i was out. Still delicious). Pour into pre-baked pie shell. Cool and place in refrigerator till cold.
You can add merengue (raining today, so i knew it wouldn’t peak).
