Ingredients

For the Cake

  • 1 box white or vanilla cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk (makes it extra moist)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup Christmas sprinkles
  • ½ cup crushed Oreos (red/green holiday Oreos if available)
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped peppermint candies or candy canes
  • ½ cup chopped Christmas chocolates (M&Ms, Hershey bars, etc.)

For the Frosting

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract OR vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions — Long, Detailed & Festive

1 Prepare the Cake Batter

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 baking dish (or two 8-inch round pans).
  3. In a large bowl, mix together:
    • Cake mix
    • Eggs
    • Oil
    • Milk
    • Vanilla
  4. Whisk until the batter is smooth and lump-free.

2 Add the Christmas Chaos Mix-Ins

Fold in:

  • Sprinkles
  • Crushed Oreos
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Peppermint pieces
  • Chopped Christmas chocolates

Mix gently until evenly distributed.

3 Bake the Cake

  1. Pour batter into prepared pan.
