 Carnivore Bacon Cheeseburger Pie

A juicy, cheesy, bacon-packed pie that tastes just like a cheeseburger in every bite!

This pie combines the flavors of a classic cheeseburger — savory beef, crispy bacon, tangy condiments, and melted cheddar cheese — all baked inside a buttery pie crust. It’s perfect for weeknight dinners, game-day meals, or anytime you crave a hearty, comforting dish.

 Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (sharp or mild, as preferred)
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled
  • 1 refrigerated pie crust (or homemade)
  • Optional: pickles, tomato slices, or shredded lettuce for garnish

 Instructions

1 Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grease a 9-inch pie dish lightly with butter or nonstick spray to prevent sticking.

2 Cook the Beef and Onion

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and diced onion.
  3. Cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking up the beef with a spatula, until the meat is browned and the onion is soft.
  4. Drain any excess fat to avoid a greasy pie.
  5. Tip: For extra flavor, season the beef with a pinch of salt and black pepper while cooking.

3 Mix in the Condiments

  1. Reduce heat to medium-low.
  2. Stir in ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise until evenly combined.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  4. Pro tip: You can add a dash of smoked paprika or garlic powder for a slightly smoky, savory twist.

4 Prepare the Pie Crust

  1. Unroll the pie crust and gently place it into the pie dish.
  2. Press it down along the bottom and sides, making sure it fits snugly.
  3. Optional: Prick the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling during baking.

5 Assemble the Pie

  1. Pour the cooked beef mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  2. Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  3. Scatter the crumbled bacon over the cheese.
  4. Optional: For added cheeseburger flair, layer thin slices of pickles or tomato on top before baking.

6 Bake

  • Place the pie in the preheated oven.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.
  • If the crust edges brown too quickly, cover them with foil to prevent burning.

7 Cool and Serve

  • Allow the pie to cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve hot, garnished with optional shredded lettuce, pickles, or extra condiments.
  • Serving tip: Pair with a side salad, coleslaw, or crispy fries for a full cheeseburger-style meal.

 Tips & Variations

  • Cheese Upgrade: Mix cheddar with mozzarella for extra gooeyness.
  • Spicy Version: Add a teaspoon of sriracha or chopped jalapeños to the beef mixture.
  • Double Crust: For a fully enclosed pie, top with a second pie crust and cut vents to release steam.
  • Meal Prep Friendly: Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days; reheat in the oven or air fryer for best texture.
