Cheesy Steak & Queso Rice

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb flank or sirloin steak
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers (orange or your choice)
  • 1 cup queso cheese sauce
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes. Season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak pieces and cook for 3–5 minutes, until browned on all sides and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the diced bell peppers and sauté for 2–3 minutes until slightly softened.
  4. Prepare your cooked rice and place it on serving plates.
  5. Top the rice with sautéed peppers and steak pieces.
  6. Warm the queso cheese sauce and pour it generously over the steak and rice.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
