Cheesy Steak & Queso Rice
Ingredients:
- 1 lb flank or sirloin steak
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
- 1 cup diced bell peppers (orange or your choice)
- 1 cup queso cheese sauce
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes. Season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak pieces and cook for 3–5 minutes, until browned on all sides and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the diced bell peppers and sauté for 2–3 minutes until slightly softened.
- Prepare your cooked rice and place it on serving plates.
- Top the rice with sautéed peppers and steak pieces.
- Warm the queso cheese sauce and pour it generously over the steak and rice.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
